Hi, I’m John, a passionate web developer

I began my web development journey in 1997 at Get2net/Tele2 and later joined TV 2/Interaktiv as a PHP developer. A few years later, I had the opportunity of a lifetime: working on a tropical island in Thailand. What started as a planned work holiday quickly evolved into something more permanent.

In 2001, I co-founded IT Graphix, a graphic design and web development studio. We built a strong client base and, in 2004, expanded with United Publishing, creating popular free-to-read guides for restaurants, spas, and real estate on Koh Samui.

In 2009, I shifted focus to the growing vacation rental market, co-developing Klik.villas — Asia’s first vacation rental PMS with integrations to Booking.com and Agoda. In 2016, Klik.villas was acquired by Rentivo, a UK company aiming to become a market leader with strong ties to Airbnb and HomeAway (now Vrbo), which brought me back to Denmark after 16 years abroad.

In 2023, Rentivo was acquired by SITU, a global provider of serviced accommodation, marking the end of an exciting chapter and a new beginning for everyone involved.
